I'm new to the Winegard forum and appreciate the opportunity to learn more about my motorcoach's system. I've called Winegard tech support a few times researching the best setup for our coach. Today we spoke to Georgia. I've had my DISH installer here most of the afternoon and we have a problem he can't figure out. He's installed a DISH receiver Model VIP 722.

We have a Tiffin Allegro motorcoach factory equipped with a Winegard Roadtrip SD satellite. Our purchase date for the coach was July 08. In January we installed the new upgrade for the satellite RP1200 in order to receive all three DISH satellite signals including sate 129 HD. While working through the installation today we ran into a problem with an error code "Port 3B bad on 129 satellite." In testing the transponders for satellite 129 we received all (1-32) except for 06, 07, 01, 32. During Switch testing, we cannot lock onto 129 however most of the HD channels are coming through after the guide is downloaded. Could this be a bad LNB in our Roadtrip?

You don't have a bad LNB.

If the LNB were the problem, you would have the same problems for the 119 and the 110 as well.

Where are you located and are you running two coax cables from the RoadTrip to the receiver or just one and then using DISH Network's splitter?

I have a very similar problem. My coach has a Move n view 3500A, which worked quite well with Dish 500 service. I purchased a Satellite interface box (WB-2700) and upgraded my receiver to a vip 211 receiver. During set up I get the same message in my receiver. Port 3B bad on 129 satellite. Upon further testing I find that many of the even transponders are missing. Remember all is still correct on the 110 and 119 Satellites. I note the technician indicated that the LNB is working correctly. More troubleshooting finds that bypassing the control box by attaching the receiver to the other coax line feed down from the dome gives me the same problem, missing transponders. I think the other coax is directly connected to the LNB second feed.

Right now I am thinking some of the transponders on 129 may be weak. If you look at the signal strength on the receiver for the missing transponders, there is some signal indicated on a few of them. (6 - 8) Lets here what Winegard engineers think.
