Winegard UT-2700 trapI need to attenaute Ch23 (524-530 Mhz) transmitted 6 miles away so I can better receive other channels 50 miles away with the antenna pointing in the same direction. My mast amplifier's AGC lowers overall gain due the strong Ch 23 signals. In other words, the nearby Ch 23 transmitter is directly in the path of the other transmitters, only it is 6 miles away while the others are 50 miles. My question is if I manage to adjust both the traps to the same frequency to get the maximum -15db reduction, is the notch bandwidth narrow enough not to supress Ch 21 and 25 both 50 miles away? I am told similar devices affect 5 channels either side of the unwanted channel.
Re: Winegard UT-2700 trapThe UT-2700 needs at least 4 channels (24MHz) of separation above and below the channel frequency you are reducing. In your case you will need to find a high Q trap (narrow) which Winegard does not manufacture.
