Can you upgrade gm1518 LNB to sl3 to get 99 101 103 directv sat's for the HD's signals ?

No. There is no dome from any manufacturer that can provide the user with the DirecTV HD signals. The only system currently available to receive the DirecTV HD channels (signals from 99 and 103) requires an open face antenna with the SL3 or SL5 LNB. The Winegard Trav'ler SK-3005 can handle the duty or you would have to mount a similar antenna on a tripod based unit and manually point the antenna.

Bill so if you pull the cover off the gm1518 and changed the LNB would it be able to auto find the Sat
And give you the the 3 sats?

No, there is nothing that can be done to allow the domed antenna to pick up the DirecTV HD signal or somehow be adapted to the DirecTV LNB.
Sorry, there is simply no option available due to the technology used by DirecTV.
