DTV H23-600 with a RM-DM46Is this receiver compatible? We cannot seem to locate a signal.
Re: DTV H23-600 with a RM-DM46Yes. However you will not get any HD programming so you need to go into the Repeat Satellite Setup routine and select 18" round and multi-switch and then lock onto the 101 satellite before proceeding. You will also need to go into the Preferences option and set it to Hide HD or Show Duplicate SD channels or you will not be able to select the appropriate channels.
Re: DTV H23-600 with a RM-DM46Thanks for the reply. We have the set-up correct but still can't get a signal from the dish. New RV and we are wondering if the wiring is correct.
Re: DTV H23-600 with a RM-DM46That's a fairly common issue and it takes some time and effort to determine where the issue is. You would have to trace the cable from the roof to the inside to determine if you have the right cables connected but you may simply not have the antenna pointed properly. Many "assume" that this must be the right direction and/or elevation but it's simply not. You will want to have the receiver satellite strength menu on your TV and then very slowly swing the antenna through the azimuth indicated by the receiver (it can be off by 10-15 degrees and your compass can exaggerate that error). If not found you can raise the elevation and sweep again, lower and sweep, raise and sweep, etc. It's not an exact science other than the satellite is where it is and we need to make adjustments for slop, magnetic deviation, out of level, etc.
