I am successfully using a Direct TV HR-24 100 in my RV. What is the equivalent DVR that is compatible. I need one that powers the LNB through the coax cable.
I am assuming that the DVR has its own tuner, but I could be wrong.
Thanks
Dave

Re: DVRI am not sure what antenna you are using, but assuming you have an antenna capable of handling the HD multiple satellites then any HD DVR other than the HR34 will work just fine. Even the HR34 will work, but you must add some additional special SWM hardware to make it work.

Re: DVRI apologize for being lazy. The motorhome has the cover on and which makes it difficult to get inside. The dish I am using is the MV-3500T.
I looked on ebay and it looks like my choices are: R15 SD Will the card from the Hr24 work any DVR? Thanks Dave
Re: DVRYes, the R-15/16 DVR will work well with your current dome antenna. Since you can't receive the DirecTV HD programming with any dome antenna the SD DVR will do an excellent job.
If this is a brand new receiver it will come with a new card and you cannot transfer the old card. If it is a used receiver you will have to call DirecTV with the serial # and other information for the receiver and they will send you a new card for about $30.
