Repairing older Sensar

Postby dave-sparky » Fri Aug 31, 2012 4:42 pm

I recently purchased an older trailer (91 Dutchman) that appears to have an original Sensar antenna on it.

The problem is the elevation gears are stripped and the currently available repair parts are not the same style and would need serious modification to fit and maybe work.

The existing antenna arms consist of one square tube and two round ones. Anyone have any idea of a source for the correct parts, or know of a source for a repairable Sensar II or III. The cost of a new antenna is just not in the budget. We currently don't even have a TV in the trailer, I am looking to mount a directional WiFi antenna on the mast for a repeater I will be installing.
