GM-1518 Carryout to DirectTV D12MP-700

Just got a GM-1518 and am trying to hook up to my DirectTV D12MP-700 which looks like it is SWM receiver. Do I need to get a SWM-8 Multi-switch from Winegard for the receiver to work with the carryout/

You do not need to use the SWM setup and I would heavily recommend against it.
