Minimax loss of signal

I have a Roadtrip Minimax antenna with two Dish receivers. Front receiver receives all dish programming. Rear receiver loses signal when I change channels. Not all the time but some channels trigger loss of signal. All connections are tight. Does this system use the one receiver to lock on the satellites?
