We have DirecTV, with them crappy DVR’s they send you. I have searched “gm1518” in this site and tried to read all the post. Now a few questions?

“Single satellite viewing antenna with two coax inputs allow for multiple receiver hook up so you can watch different programming on 2 TVs at once”

Question?
With our current system we can view one channel and record a different one, is this possible with one receiver?

“Eyelet attached to base provides ability to lock up antenna for added security. Includes 50’ power and coax cable”

Question?
How many coax cable, ONE?

Read one post where they wanted a longer power cable.

Question?
I would prefer to hook direct to the battery, is this possible?

Now for all you that purchased one, would you do it again? How does it perform? I’m getten very tired of setting up the tripod every time we are under a tree.

Thanks for any help, bill

With DirecTV, if you want to watch 2 different programs on 2 different TV's you need 2 different receivers. The DVR will allow you to watch and record simultaneously but all TV's must be viewing the same channel.
The Carryout out comes with 1 50' coax cable. If you want to hook up a DirecTV DVR you will need to purchase a second coax cable.
The Carryout comes with a 12V cigarette lighter adapter so you can simply plug the Carryout in with little effort. If you prefer another option you could cut off this adapter, insert a fuse and hard wire it to the location of your choice.

Yes, the 1518 will allow you to watch and record with 2 coax cables. You will be able to watch all of the DirecTV SD programming coming from the 101 satellite.
