You can still make the 211K receiver the primary receiver while located in the bedroom. You just need to ensure that whichever cable runs to the 211K is coming from the Main connection on the Carryout. This would at least ensure that your antenna would work properly when it comes to pointing the antenna and you could just hope for the best with the 222. If you do it the other way around the antenna may not function properly making both receivers unusable.

I understand why the 211 is recomended over the 222k but the 211 is smaller and would fit better in my bedroom area of my 5th wheel as a second receiver better than the 222k. I have used the 222k for 2years with my twin dish 500 legacy unit with a SW21 switch connected to Sat 1 input of the receiver without any problems-- other than acquiring 119 and 110 satelittes in Nova Scotia because of the low angles involved. With the seperator, it needs the newer dish pro. Instead of buying the dishpro stuff, I elected to get the Carryout and forgo the dual capability-- which would be nice using the diplexers to feed my bedroom area from the 2nd tunner and not requiring more cables. If there is anyway Winegard could see fit to design a automatic dish simular to the Carryout that would work with a dual tuner, it would be something I would like to have.

We do have an automatic Dish 1000, the SK-1000 Trav'ler. This isn't portable but has the DPP LNB and can support multiple receivers (with separators) and multi-satellite viewing with ease.
