Sat Switch and the VS0503 Distribution Box

Postby CdnSailor » Sat Apr 28, 2012 2:03 pm

We recently purchased a 2008 Corsair 5th wheel with a Winegard Distribution Box.
I have set up my satellite system but cannot get a signal through the box.
I originally attached the receiver cable to the RV Satellite input pressed Sat and got no signal.
I then attached the receiver cable to the back of the distribution box pressed Sat and received no signal.
I can take the receiver cable from the antenna and hook it up to my Express Vu and get a signal.
Is there anyway that I can check the box to see why I am not getting a signal through it?

Thanks

CdnSailor,

The proper way to wire with a satellite system and a switchbox is to have coax from the satellite antenna to your satellite receiver, then from the TV Out of the receiver into the switchbox on the jack labeled satellite.

If you are unable to get a signal from the receiver out to the TVs when going through the switchbox, you may want to try different coax cables from both the receiver to the switchbox and from the switchbox out to the TVs.
