Re: MP1 DISHRCHCOOP4,
If the DIrecTV HD DVR you are using is not model number HR-25 you can use it. You will need to configure the receiver for the Round 18 inch setting and the switch type for Multiswitch and then aim the dish in for satellite 101. If you are running one cable to the receiver, you will want to make sure you have Tuners selected for single, if you are running two cables, then have Tuners set for dual. As you noted, however, the unit will not bring in HD programming, only the SD versions of the programming.
Re: MP1 DISHTHE DVR IS HR20-200 AND I ALSO WANT TO RUN A H24-200 AS A SECOND RECEIVER IS THIS OK.
Re: MP1 DISHThe MP1 (by default) only has connections available for 2 tuners (1 DVR). However, you can add a multipler into the mix where you would run the 2 coax cables from the LNB to the multiplexer (not a regular splitter) and then the multiplexer would have 4 (or more) outputs available for your receivers. It's going to be a mess of cabling, but it surely can be done.

Re: MP1 DISHTo add to Bill's post, you could do this setup, but you will not be able to get any programming from the 119 satellite as it is unable to pass the tone the receiver uses to request programming from 119.
Now with an MP1, this may not be as big of issue as mostly you would be aimed for 101 (where a majority of programming comes) but if you wanted local channels and they came from 119 in your area, you would not be able to receive them using that multiswitch.
Re: MP1 DISHI have an MP1 with a HR24d-100 Direct TV receiver and I get no singal readings at all. I am running the cable through my trailer cable lines is this my problem.
Re: MP1 DISHddscud,
The prewire may be the issue. We recommend for the initial aiming to run through a door or a window. Configure your HR24 for Dish Type 01: Round and Switch Type 02: Multiswitch and if you have one cable to the receiver, set Tuners to Single, if you have two cables to the receiver set Tuners to Dual. From there, go to the signal strength screen (the signal meters screen does not work on the HR24) and aim your dish. When you find signal, it will start inputting numbers on the transponders as opposed to zeros. If you are able to acquire signal, you may try running through the prewire to see if it works. If you still have signal, great, if not, there may be bad wiring. If you have any other questions or need further assistance either post again or contact technical service at 800-788-4417.
Re: MP1 DISH
Understand that along with the accurate advice above, I cannot think of a single circumstance where an RV cable connection would allow you to connect a satellite antenna to a satellite receiver. Some kind of a wiring modification will be required in most cases and in a few cases you will not be able to use this line at all. If you can tell us more about your coach we might be able to give you some additional guidance after you have the system working via the "through the window" approach. Bill
