RV-6004 with broken lead

Postby KMR » Fri Dec 16, 2011 1:09 pm

I reciently purchased an Rv w/ a RV-6004 ant. The coax connectors are broke. Besides making the ant. not usable will that also stop the cable plug in on the side of the rv unuseable?

What coax connectors are broken? If it's just the connection on the roof or the output from the 12V power supply box then the answer is no, that will not effect your cable performance. If you have a video controller where you push a button to select TV, DVR, Ant, etc then your cable will certainly not be effected. If you use the 12V power supply to switch between the roof top antenna (light lit) and the cable input (light not lit) and the circuit board inside this unit are what is damaged then the answer is yes, you need to replace this 12V power supply.
