RV Power Wall Plate

RV Power Wall PlateI have a 2009 RV that came equipped with a Sensar Antenna and White on/off power supply switch - has +12VDC receptacle, built-in two-way splitter for second TV outlet, and a power-on/off indicator light and cable TV input. The light in my two way switch would never work, only flash periodically. In an attempt to replace the outlet, thinking something was wrong with it, I noticed that when the Antenna was disconnected from the antenna port on the back of the plug, the light would come on. Once I touched the antenna cable to the port, the light would instantly turn back off again. What would be the cause of this, and how can I correct the issue?
Re: RV Power Wall PlateOne of the wires attached to the wall plate has a short in it. The wall plate has a fuse in it that resets itself. When you have the short, it trips the fuse. When the short is removed... the unit works again.
Try replacing the coax cable that runs to the antenna with one you know is good. Just run it from the antenna to the wall plate through a window.
