Need help picking antenna 04412 zip code

Postby rdbowden » Sun Oct 16, 2011 6:42 pm

Hi,

I visited www.antennaweb.org and www.tvfool.com. I purchased a SS-3000, but the only station it brought in with sufficient strength was channel 13. Channel 2 is very difficult to receive as well as channel 9. Would the MS-1000 or MS-2000 work? I am willing to mount the antenna on roof. I can't use a rotator because I am planning on connecting antenna to a Windows 7 computer set up as a DVR, so all stations have to be available without having to change antenna direction. The exact street address is 196 Washington Street. The only stations I am really interested in are 2, 7, 9, 13. Channel 22 would be a bonus, but not necessary. I suppose chanel 25 could replace channel 9, since I think PBS simulcasts on both.

Thanks,
Ray

Good morning Ray,

The MS-1000 non amplified omni directional antenna would be your best antenna choice. Being as close as you are to the TV stations you do not want an amplified antenna because the amplified antenna will over amplify the signal making it too strong for the TV tuner to handle.
