shaw directWe are in the midst of purchasin g a wineguard unit, however are very confused as what to get. We have been told that the dome type will work in the southern states and some say no they dont. We are from Manitoba Canada. We are very confused as to what to buy so we arent limited to just Manitoba canada. The unit would be to use with Shaw direct. Is the antanae one better or can the dome one be used. The dome seems so much more efficient but if its only usable in Canada then not really good for travelers to the USA. Can someone who has had experience with it let me know if the dome units for the shaw direct ( starchoice) works in the USA?
Re: shaw directYou are going to want to avoid the domed units. The only one that Winegard makes that is compatible with Shaw is a portable ground unit and no other dome manufacturers make a compatible dome.
You will want to purchase the open face Winegard Trav'ler specifically designed for the Shaw service. It is an excellent performer and will work throughout the US as well as Mexico.
