metal building issues

Postby cen-tex rick » Sat Sep 10, 2011 11:16 pm

I'm pretty sure the HD7694P Platinum HD Series Antenna will do the trick for soaking up all those free HD signals near zip code 76549. My question is about the antenna's proximity to a metal building. If I can mount the antenna 10' above the peak of the metal roof, will this be sufficient to avoid interference or should I move away from the building and if so, how far away?

Thanks in advance for the 2-cents.

Good morning Rick -

We typically recommend being at least 8-10 feet above a metal roof. However, the further away the better if you have that option.
