Pole Mount MM-3084 Outer Sleeve Fell Off - Help!

For my RV I just bought the Pole Mount MM-3084 assembly for mounting a DirecTV dish. While getting ready to mount it on the rear ladder using the optional bracket assembly, the telescoping tube was very hard to telescope. I decided to put a little WD-40 on the pole to help it slide, then the tube slipped through the outer sleeve. I have tried several different ways to reinsert the pole through the sleeve to no avail. How do you recommend doing this?

Thanks, but no longer need your help. I figured it out. The way I fixed the problem was to put the sleeve on from the opposite end. This requires removing the metal pin that passes through the inside tube. For the tricky part I knocked it through with the tip of an old phillips head screwdriver of about the same diameter. The rest is self explanatory. I hope this helps anyone else who encounters the same problem.
