which antenna to buy for my area??

Postby lifesaverqutee » Sat Jul 30, 2011 2:03 pm

I live in Fresno, Ca 93720. I would love to cancel my Dish Satellite. According to antenna web, most of my towers are UHF with a few VHF and they are 24.1 to 50.7 miles away from house. Both TV's are HDTV. I am not a electrical whiz, so can you help me find the right antenna for my area??

Good morning lifesaverqutee,

It looks like most of your major networks are broadcast in UHF in your area. If you are not interested in channel 7 (MNT), 11 (TEL) or 13 (HTN) you could go with a HD-9032 which is a 45-65 mile antenna. If you are interested in those channels I would look at the HD7697P antenna which receives UHF and high-band VHF from 45-60 miles.

In either case you will want to mount the antenna outside, as high as possible, and with as few obstructions as possible between you and the signal.

If you would like more information about your specific location please call Winegard technical service at 800-288-8094 and ask to speak to Hans.
