SK-3005 cable installation

I will be installing a 3005 in the near future and have read the installation manual. I still have a few questions regarding the cables.

1. The installation manual says "Winegard recommends installing the Accessory Detect
Cable, this can provide a
emergency stow function.

is this cable different from the control cable?

2. Is a 1/2" hole large enough for two coax cables, control cable and possibly the accessory detect cable?

3. I will be installing this on a 2005 Bounder 36Z, the entry hole will be above the receiver bay on the passengers side. Has anyone done this on a Bounder and is there any tricky problems I might run into?

I have installed the Winegard Travelers dome so I'm familiar with installing satellite antennas and have a stud finder that works quite well on finding metal studs.

The cable you refer to is an accessory and rarely used as it needs to be wired to a 12V source that is only live when the ignition key is activated. Even if you hook it up it still takes the antenna about 2 minutes to stow so you could easily still damage the dish if you start up and leave. The best defense is having a good checklist or routine which includes visual verification that the antenna is stowed.
I recommend a 1" hole. This gives the coax a little more room to prevent the cable from bending tightly where it enters the roof. You should have no issues installing one on your Bounder.

Thanks for the info Bill. Checking the roof before I drive off is part of my routine, force of habit now so I'll forget about the detect cable.
