Signal Level Drop MS-2002

I have an MS-2002 installed April,2010 in an attic which has worked fine up till now. All of a sudden the remote stations that used to come in fine are now all but gone. Nothing has changed in antenna orientation or cabling. I have isolated everything and have the Power Injector TV output output going directly to the TV. Local stations are still ok. The PS-1403 power supply output measures 28Vdc open circuit rather than the 18Vdc on the label but voltage going up to the antenna is the correct 14 Vdc. Red LED on the power supply is on. It does get hot in the attic.
Can anyone offer some advice? Bad amp, PS or Injector???

Can you give us the location of these missing channels and their call letters or channel numbers. Are these TV stations broadcasting their digital signals on aVHF channel between channel 2-13? Can you give us your complete street address so that we can check some websites as to what channels you should be receiving in your aera.

Two specific channels are Fox 29.1, Phila. and 17.1 also Phila. both UHF. I am at 112 Horizon court, Manheim, PA 17545 near Lancaster PA. Up until last week both channels came in fine, Now 17.1 is pixelated and 29.1 is gone. Antenna orientation, cabling have not changed. Antenna is in an attic so it gets hot up there. Is there a max temp that the amp will tolerate? Where is the zero degree point on the antenna? I can't find any kind of mark.

The antenna and amplifier are designed to work in a temperature range of -40 to +140 degrees Fahrenheit. Use the coax cable downlead connection as your reference.



Channels 17.1 and 29.1 are 60 plus miles from you and your signal is 1Edge signal, meaning that you are receiving these signal from reflections off the ground or the atmosphere. When installing an antenna in the attic made up of 1/2” plywood sheathing and one layer of asphalt shingles you reduce your signal levels by 50% or more. Move the antenna outside to see if you can receive these channels with a 50% stronger signal input to the antenna.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I am not allowed to put the antenna outside.
FYI I replaced the antenna with a new one and channels 29.1 and 17.1 come in ok. I bet the amp in the old antenna failed. Can I buy a new amp for the MS-2002 and if so how much would it cost?
