PM-2000 and Multiple Satelites

Postby aggiebq86 » Sun Jul 03, 2011 11:19 pm

I have a PM-2000 satelite dish and a Direct TV Reciever Model H21-200. I have been able to tune to Satelite 101 but was wondering if it is possible to tune to another satelite for the local channels? I realize I can't tune to more than one satelite at a time but is it possible to switch between satelites?

It is possible to point that antenna to any of the KU band satellites from DirecTV, Dish Network and Bell Express Vu. For DirecTV that would be 101, 110 and 119 but would exclude the 99 and 103 satellites that are used by DirecTV. If your local programming is broadcast on 110 or 119 you are good to go.

Thanks, on the receiver set up, do I have to tell the receiver I have a different type of dish/LNB combination? The receiver is only showing me the one satelite during the setup process to aim at.

If you are trying to find 110 or 119 then you can set the antenna type to oval 3-LNB (multiswitch) and you should now get indications for 101, 110 and 119.
