AP-8700 Installation Question

Postby ll9956 » Sun Jun 26, 2011 4:26 pm

I am trying to install an AP-8700 that I just bought. Included is a 6 foot coaxial cable with connectors on each end. The instructions say to slide the weather boots over the antenna downleads and attach connectors. The connectors are already attached. There is no way the weather boots are going to fit over the connectors. Am I supposed to cut off the connectors, slide the weather boots over the cable and then attach new connectors? This seems very confusing. Any comments? Thanks. Larry

Good morning ll9956,

You will need to cut off the bottom off your boot nipples and cut a an X in the bottom of the remaining boot so it will stretch over your connector.
