Please Help SK-3005

Hi. I am brand new to the forum and to the RV world. I had the Winegard Trav'ler SK-3005 Slimline installed on my 5th wheel.

I have two TV's in the RV. However, I just want my DirecTV on the main living room HD TV. The bedroom TV is not that important as I only have one HD DirecTV receiver at this time.

I own a 2011 Peterson Industries, Excel Limited 36TKE. They have installed an A/B switch inside the entertainment center. There are two lines running from the SK-3005 to the RV somewhere.

I also have cable at our home base. The A/B box is used this way. When we travel, we select A (attic) for using the dish on top of the RV. When we are at our home base and under metal cover; I have a land based dish that we use. I select B (basement) for that dish.

I am not able to pick up anything from my subscription when we travel. Not one channel. Nothing!

Can someone please tell me how to hook-up this SK-3005 so I can have my HD DirecTV subscription along with all other channels?

By the way. On this A/B switch box, there are three (3) female connectors. One says "Cable" at the top, "TV" in the middle and "Cable" at the bottom.

It sounds as though things are connected correctly but, of course, there is no way to tell from here. The first thing I would check if this is a receiver you have moved from your home antenna to the RV antenna is that in the Setup Menu (repeat satellite setup) the multiswitch is NOT set to SWM. If it is, change the setting to Slimline 5 (04 I believe) and Multiswitch (single tuner if you only have one cable input). Continue through the setup and even if you see an error message continue to the end.
When your Trav'ler is up and properly pointed you will see *101 *110 *119. If there is no * the satellite could not be found and you will likely not have all of your programming.
If you have all the settings right and you still have no channels you are going to need to run a cable directly from one of the 4 outputs to the receiver satellite in (no A/B) to confirm that the antenna and the receiver are doing what they should be doing. From there you can start working your way backward until you find what is not connected correctly.
