SS-3000 Plastic Film Coating

Postby jmcnemar » Sat Jun 04, 2011 2:42 pm

I just assembled my new Winegard SS-3300. I noticed the flat plastic portion of the antenna has an adhesive clear plastic coating on it. Should this coating be removed before the antenna is assembled? Thanks.

The plastic film is used to protect the reflector grid during shipping and is designed to be removed before assembling the antenna. It will not hurt the performance of the antenna if it is left on the reflector grid.
