Hi,
I live about three miles from the TV transmission sites in my small town. Surprisingly, the CBS station is transmitting using a directional low power transmitter and I am unable to receive it with an antenna. But fortunately, they have almost completed an upgrade to a non-directional transmitter with increased power. I plan to try the FV-HD30 when their upgrade is complete.
I would prefer to mount the FV-HD30 in the attic. Considering the short distance to the transmission sites, would I really gain anything by mounting the antenna on my roof? It would require a longer run of coax to mount the antenna on the roof. Is it best to mount the antenna on my roof using 100 feet of coax, or in my attic using 50 feet of coax?
