We have a MVA3500A, we switched out he Dish reciever and now it will not lock onto a Satalite, dish representative used his equipment to check it out, it would lock onto a Satelite then loose it, said he figured the LNB to have gone bad, just looking for advise before taking it back to dealer.

Did you changed the dip switch settings for DirecTV, the dip switch settings should be set as 1 through 7 up and then number 8 is down.

Thanks for the reply, yes it has been set for Disk since being installed, the strange thing to us is that we had a another reciever working prior to that however I didnt try the TV before swapping out recievers.

If the satellite sees the signal then it is not the LNB, what you need to do is check the dish type in the receiver. The dish type should be 3LNB 18x20 and multi switch. If you are still having trouble contact our Tech department at 1-800-788-4417.
