AP-8700 - is it working?

Postby jkm001 » Wed Jan 12, 2011 2:13 pm

Purchased an AP-8700 to go with a Clearstream 4. Cable from antenna to preamplifier is 6 feet. From pre-amp to power injector is 12 feet. From power injector to TV is 12 feet. All cable is RG6. The LED on the power injector glows red. There has not been any change in signal strength on any channel. How can I determine if the AP-8700 is defective? Thanks.

Good morning jkm001 -

Please refer to the following video...

This video is on how to troubleshoot phasing lines in a Winegard antenna but will also show how to test the parts of the system on the way for voltage.
