I recently ordered the FV-HD30 through Amazon, but it's not in stock, so I'm waiting until it is. Meanwhile I've done some more research and come across the SS-3000. Now I'm wondering if I should cancel my order and order that one instead. I have yellow UHF and VHF channels in my area. The lowest VHF channel's frequency is 7.1 - but it's ABC, so I want to make sure I will get a clear picture on it. The only difference I can see between these two models (besides the FV-HD30 also working outdoors, which I don't need) is that the SS-3000 picks up low frequency VHF, and the FreeVision doesn't. However, 7.1 is technically on the low end of "high frequency VHF." So...
1. Am I correct in what I've found to be the differences between these two models? Does one pick up HD signals better than the other on a general level?
2. Would the fact that the SS-3000 picks up low frequency VHF signals give me better reception for channels on the low end of the "high frequency" scale?
Which should I get?
I am very excited either way, I have heard nothing but great things about Winegard products!
