mp1 no signal

I have just purchased a model gm-mp1 carryout dish.
i set it up according to instructions although not sure what type dish i am supposed to put in setup menu
( directv). i didn't recieve any signal on setup menu meter.
any sugestions?

Good morning tl17 -

The correct dish type setting for DIRECTV with the Winegard Carryout MP1 is 18" Round Dish with no degrees after it. Please make sure the switch type is set to multi-switch and that you are connected directly from your receiver to the antenna with no splitters or other objects in between.
