is this setup right?

After countless hours figuring out what size antenna to get i setteled on a hd7696 due to size constraints. I live in a old duplex city suburb with small yards, on the side of a hill with a pretty big tree in my yard and other houses above that so my LOS for half of my Stations isnt there. I will be having a 30 ft coax run from the roof to my basement, then from there to 3 tvs (one on each floor of the house). Most of the channels are blue or below with the exception of 2 purple stations 40 miles away. There is high VHF and 2 UHF channels (1 UHF with low transmitting power).
Everyone back in the day got away with medium 10 element antennas on there roof's (some are still there, including the one on my house) but since im installing all new, i want to make sure i can get as good as possible.

Im pretty sure i will need a pre amp but im lost in figuring anything out other then low noise.
also im looking at a Eagle Aspen ROTR100 Rotor due to the stations being spread in about 110 degrees from North to South West.

It sounds like you have pretty much figured out which antenna you need the HD7696P. Winegard suggests the AP-8700 preamplifier for your antenna system. Using the Eagle Aspen ROTR 100 rotor control to power the rotor and the AP-8700 your splitter has to be AC/DC passive on the one leg that the rotor control is hooked to .

This will allow the DC voltage from the rotor control to pass through the splitter and control the rotor and power the preamplifier. If the other legs of the splitter are also AC/DC passive a voltage block such as a Winegard VB-1000 is required on the other legs to prevent the DC power from the rotor control going out the other legs of your splitter to the other TV sets and shorting out the DC voltage from the rotor control.

i forgot to mention im running seperate wires for the rotor.
i just got off the phone with my zonning and they said there is no current regulations for antenna size or height on my roof installation. i just dont know if i have the guts to put the (hd8200) on my roof and make everyone in my nehborhood hate me...
