Two Power Sources MS-2002 Winegard MetrostarHome install: one antenna split to two TV's with two seperate coax cables. Power supply is at one TV and is working fine.....Is it possible to add and additional power source at the second TV which is not getting reception. If so were can I purchase an additional AC adaptor and Power Injector? Because of the layout (lack of electrical) this seemed to be the route to take? Any thoughts? Thanks
Re: Two Power Sources MS-2002 Winegard MetrostarYou can not use 2 power supplies to power 2 TV sets from your MS-2002. There are a couple of options you can use to hook up two TV sets to your antenna. Option one is you can use a 2 way line splitter such as a Winegard SP-1002 or SP-2052 attached to the TV connection on the existing power injector now behind your TV set and run a coax cable from the splitter to each TV set.
A second option is, if the splitter needs to between the antenna and your existing power injector then use a Winegard CC-7870 coupler/splitter. This coupler/splitter is AC/DC passive on side 1 so your DC voltage from the power injector will only go through side 1 and no short out behind TV set number two. Side 1of the CC-7870 is the side you will use to attach your power supply to. From side 2 you will run your coax cable to your second set and this way both of your TV sets will be receiving the amplified TV signal.
