Installing a travler antenna on my MH.

Postby glodal134 » Sat Oct 09, 2010 2:50 pm

Hi
I'm thinking about installing a travler 1000 on my MH and I have some questions.

1. What is the amperes draw at peak use.

2. I read some where that it is a 120v unit. Is this correct ?

3. I will be removing an old winegard crank up unit, will the travler drop into the existing hole ? and will the new unit come with all of the necessary flashing fittings etc.

4. Will the existing single strand RG60 work with the travler and my dish net work DVR 625 receiver ?

5. Is there a Panel or switch that mounts inside the coach, if so is it hard wired or remote? if it's hard wired does it mount on the ceiling or the side wall ?

Sorry about the delay in getting with you.

I read some where that it is a 120v unit. Is this correct ?

-yes, the TRAV'LER is a 120V system. Since the receiver requires 120V we felt that this would be available in nearly every situation.

3. I will be removing an old winegard crank up unit, will the travler drop into the existing hole ? and will the new unit come with all of the necessary flashing fittings etc.

-The TRAV'LER will completely cover the area where the crank up had been on the roof but not on the interior. You will still need to seal the hole that the crank up needed before installing the TRAV'LER over the top of it.

4. Will the existing single strand RG60 work with the travler and my dish net work DVR 625 receiver ?

-Yes to both as long as the coax is still in good shape.

5. Is there a Panel or switch that mounts inside the coach, if so is it hard wired or remote? if it's hard wired does it mount on the ceiling or the side wall ?

-The TRAV'LER has a small control box that you will need to mount near a power outlet.
