hd7694p signal issues

Postby joshsimpson » Thu Sep 23, 2010 10:53 am

I'm helping my brother install a hd7694p. He lives about 30 miles east of Pensicola, FL. He was able to get about 15 channels or so with his omnidirectional antenna that lies flat inside his house. However, with his new antenna we get no signal whatsoever. The box did not come with instructions, so I downloaded the pdf off of google. This is the 5th Winegard antenna I've put together for people, so I'm not a rookie. We did a channel scan and pointed the antenna in different directions.

Nothing whatsoever. We tried two different coax cables. Is there anything else I can possibly try to troubleshoot?

It may be possible that there is an issue at the connection point of the CB-8269 cartridge board/housing and the antenna for some reason. The video linked below will help you troubleshoot your phasing lines.

Hopefully after watching the video you will be able to determine if there is a problem with the antenna or the CB-8269 cartridge board/housing. If you determine there is a problem with the antenna or cartridge board you can send a copy of your receipt to Winegard’s warranty department by email warranty@winegard.com or by fax 1-319-754-0715. Explain your problem and they will make sure it is taken care of immediately.
