I have a simple question regarding mounting of antennas. I plan to mount two antennas facing different directions in accordance with recommendations received at antennafool.com. I have a Winegard DS-3000 J-Bar but it is obviously too short to mount dual antennas. I was considering either mounting the antennas on dual mounts - the DS-3000 and a shorter one that used to hold a satellite dish. Alternately, I was looking into an extension for the DS-3000.
I see the Winegard TB-0005 antenna mast online but the pictures don't look as if the mast can be used in conjunction with the existing DS-3000 to extend the height. The description of the TB-0005 says it's swedged which sounds as if one end "might" be reduced in size so that it can be stacked but none of the online pictures show that to be the case.
The two antennas I currently have are the Winegard YA-6713 and the Channel Master 4220. I have a Pico-Macom UVSJ to join them. What I really need is advice on mounting the antennas - whether I can get an extension pole to use with the DS-3000, if I should use the DS-3000 for one and another mount for the other, or if I should scrap what I have and get a totally different mounting system.
As you can tell, I'm a clueless noob.
