8275 Amplifier

Postby smrozek » Mon Jul 26, 2010 10:35 am

I just purchased and installed the 8275 amplifier. Reception is worse now. I was using a smaller 10db GE inline amplifier and received more stations. I live at least 50 miles from any TV transmitter and was hoping the 8275 would be the solution. I installed per instructions. My antenna is about 30ft in the air. Any suggestions?

Update.... 7/27/10

I negected to mention that I have an FM station about a mile from me. The FM trap is set to the "fixed trap in" postion on the pre-amp. Would turning the variable fm trap help? Or am I just too close to an FM transmitter for the 8275?

Good morning smrozek,

We try to answer as many questions as possible on the forums but occasionally we run into an issue that would be better solved by direct communication with one of our technical services staff. I would recommend calling 800-788-4417 and asking to speak with Hans about this situation.
