(sorry for the mis-posting error)
Hello-
I'm longtime A/V installer - done 100+ installs thru the years for home & small MATV - own the Sencore SLM-1453i digital meter & getting used to the ATSC lineup. Local job near Cape Cod looking to get 12+ Boston stations reliably on a Channel Master 2018 U/HiV with 7777 29dB preamp - home sits low, so I've put in 20' as the antenna height though its on tripod at the peak with 10' mast. Most elusive channel is 42(Virtual7) that I really want to give these people, without luck :- (
Our latest new antenna upgrade is using (for the first time) your HD8800 8Bay with AP4800 28/29dB preamp- I like that for easy profile for its UHF power. Last Friday we replaced a Channel Master 0064 on a 3677 U/V antenna, with the CM7777, and that was disappointing until I thought to add a Pico/Macom TA-25 just before their splitter array (injecting ch15 before splitting off to 6 sets)
So, hopefully introduces you to what we're familiar with; here is our original problem install re TV Fool http://www.tvfool.com/?option=com_wrapp ... 18ae821d3d
I don't see height helping; I am open to HD8800/AP4800 & wonder if that result can be further amplified. BTW by best numbers from the Sencore show about +3dB at the power supply, lowest are about -35dB
Thx / Peter in Plymouth, MA
