I am looking forward to being able to help people with any questions they may have here.

I have been with Winegard for eleven years, most of this time has been spent in a Technical Support role. I have worked with nearly every product that Winegard has ever installed on an RV. If I do not know the answer, I know who does.

If you can't find me here, try

Hello Winegard Mobile Tech:

I have a 1998 Sportsman Travel Trailer with a Winegard satellite TV dish. I don't know the model as nothing is written on the wall control display. Anyway, I am getting a "Caution - No LINE Power" message on the display and it is not receiving a signal. Yet there must be power to the display since it is working and there is power to the RV. In my attemps to solve the problem from the wall display I have now inadvertently stowed the dish and now cannot get it to come back up.

Please tell me how I can get the dish un-stowed and how to clear the caution message and anything else that you can suggest that might be relevant to putting this dish bck into service.

I am in a remote area and this sat TV is the only connection that I have with the outside world.

I appreciate your help thank you,

You have an RM-9946 system and the electronics are not sensing the voltage the LNB needs for power.

Without this voltage there is no reason for the unit to start searching as it can not find a signal, so it wont raise. To check this error, disconnect the coax connected to the LNBF. With the receiver plugged in and connected, there should be 12-18VDC on the end of this cable.

If you have it, the system may need to be replaced. If you do not have it, you will need to find where you are losing it.

I recently purchased a 2004 Damon Intruder motor home. It came with a Winegard satellite antenna, I have no idea what the model # of the antenna is. I inspected it very carefully and I found where a tag use to be but is now gone. The dish is 19" in dia. it has a single LNB the system has the digital magic feature and is a crank up. My DVR is a dish model 625 that I used in my previous motor home with a portable antenna that sit outside on a trypoid. My problem is that I can't lock onto any satellite. I have typed in my zip code 43022 and the other two requirements Azimuth and Elevation, I used a compass to find North I have acquired the tone and the green bar a couple of times but it won't stay locked. There is a sticker on the antenna LNB that says something about Direct TV. I have been with Dish TV for 11 years and would rather not change, do I need a different antenna or what ?

Thanks very much

Your satellite dish with work for either DISH Network or DIRECTV. They both use the same LNBF.

Does your receiver list a "SKEW" angle with the Azimuth and Elevation?

If so, it could be that you just need to tell the receiver that you have a DISH 300 dish. Otherwise the angles it gives you are generally pointing between satellites rather than AT any of them.

I purchased a Winegard Model 1518 portable antenna in October 2009. We have Dish Network and I have been attempting to use their 322 dual reciever in my motor home. I think it has work correctly three times. It usually only picks up satelite 119 or 110, but usually not both. This is very furstratiing because I paid over $800 to have the convenience while on the road and assumed it would be easy to use.

I have spent many hours work with this system only to find it does not work. Winegard rep did say they have more problems with the 322 than any other reciever. Is there someone that can help! Can you please tell me if the 322 will ever work consistently with the 1518 antenna? I also have a 301 reciever which will work on only one TV, but I can not recieve but satelite 119. Is there any thing that will work?

Why does Winegard sell this product to Dish Network users if it does not work?

Thanks for your post. I recently purchased a MP1 dish for my Direct TV system. I am having difficulty connecting. I am on an extended leave from my home location and using the dish on my RV. I am having trouble connecting to the satellite at this high mountain location (many tall tress too). It is showing the old zip code and I need to change it to the Zip code where I am now within the same state. I don't want to change my home base only the loction for a temporary time. What can I do to get connected to the satellite at this temporary location. Also I can't figure out how to change that ZIP . Please get back to me with specific directions so I can resove this problem. I would appreciate all the assistance I can get. Thanks
Bill

I recently purchased a GM-1518 Carryout antenna. I'm in the process of trying to decide between Direct TV and Dish Network. Does anyone know if the Dispro 211 receiver works OK with the GM-1518?
