Need help HD7697P or HD7698P?

Postby pmauro » Mon Feb 01, 2010 12:46 am

Hi -

Need some help picking between the two. My situation:

- In LA, 11 miles from mount wilson where all the antennas are
- Someone told me once that it's a tough place for reception because I am in the "shadow" of the mountain
- Clear line of sight to the antennas - no obstructions from my roof
- Need Red, Blue, Violet
- Looks like a max 6 degree spread

The antenna selector confirmed my selection of one of these two: HD7697P or HD7698P

I'd like to go with the shorter boom if I can help it.... :D Any suggestions?

Also, does the antenna come with a mast or do I need to buy one? I am gonna strap it to my old direct TV dish setup.

thanks,

pete

The HD7697P should be fine in your situation. The antennas do not come with a mast since every installation is different. We would recommend mounting the antenna as high as possible and with as few obstructions as possible for maximum reception.
