I live in 35180, and am currently receving over half of the available digital channels with RABBIT EAR antenna sitting behind the television. I connected this purely as a test to see if it would work, and the picture is great for the channels I receive. However, there are several channels which are in the area, and that I want to receive, that do not seem to work. I have tried rescanning, and have even added them manually, but there is no signal. I suspect the problem is my rabbit ear antenna. Because of the large difference in angle (116 degrees) and the distance (22.9 miles to 38.3 miles), I would like to use an omnidirectional antenna. Based on the antenna selector here, and the information from AntennaWeb, it seems that an omnidirectional might not work. My question is this... how much better is an omnidirectional antenna (such as the Winegard MS2002) mounted outside approximately 10 feet above the roof than rabbit ears sitting beahing the television?
Thanks,
Southner
