Trav'ler while boondocking/ dry campingMy scenario would be that I'd be dry camping and using my inverter to power the Trav'ler to the locked on to satellites on my SK-3005. If I was to do an "Emergency Off", in order to lock the dish but turning the power to the IDU off in order to conserve my battery power, would that be OK? When I was ready to leave our camp and wanted to stow the Trav'ler, would I just turn the power to the IDU back on and would it be to the status it was in before I turned it off ? Maybe some others would also be interested.
Re: Trav'ler while boondocking/ dry campingThe Emergency Off will not harm the system so this would be fine.
When the unit is powered back on it will immediately go into a new search routine. Once it finishes the search, just power it down normally and you will be fine. WARNING: By using the emergency power off, there is no warning to stow your TRAV'LER before you move. Unless you remember to turn it back on.
