I would have the same answer for you JD. The power injector will be warm to the touch, warmer than your old model. This will not shorten the life of the unit and if the heat gets to a dangerous level it should shut itself off. However, if it is 'HOT', more than what you feel is safe, I would call for a return authorization.
I've called down to engineering to have a temperature test done so I can tell you the normal temp, but it may be a few days before we have that done. Your more than likely fine, but it is best you use your own judgement.
