Re: 1080 doesn't pick up VHF 9 & 11

Good morning srtguy -

The HD-1080 does an excellent job of picking up VHF channels 7-13 and at that range from you to those 2 stations you should not be having issues. Do you have the antenna mounted inside or in an attic? Have you tried a rescan or manually entering the channels?

I would get the antenna as high up as possible with as few obstructions as possible and you should have no problem pulling in that signal.

Inside and tested on a 12' ladder outside. No VHF 9 or 11. Did the double rescan. Consensus on a few forums seems to be a FM tower 6 miles south of me. Guess it's time to try a FM trap...

My HD-1080 is receiving un-amplified VHF indoors at 26 miles! :D (the problem was apparently the tuner in my junk 3 year old Sanyo HDTV)
