where aim?

Postby nakko » Mon Mar 09, 2009 9:22 pm

Hi to all, I got a dish 500 and a Winegard antenna came with it, my question is, where should it be aimed? the same as the dish? does it matter the location versus the dish? obove the dish? I'm sorry but I know nothing about the winegard antenna. your help would be greatly appreciated...

To aim your antenna, you will want to enter your address into the link I have posted below.

http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Address.aspx

This website will give you an Azimuth angle for each of the channels that are near you. Generally, the narrow end of the antenna is the front of the antenna.

One important thing is that the antenna should not be installed between the satellite dish and the satellite or you could lose your DISH Network channels when you install the antenna.

Please let me know which model antenna you have and if you are interested in a how to work with Azimuth angles.
