bad digital picture help

Postby wjvalentine » Tue Mar 03, 2009 10:15 pm

i have a winegard amplified antenna that works great for regular analog channels but when i got a converter box the picture on my 1999 regular tv looks like it is scrambled. i thought that the first converter box was bad so i got another one same problem. so i went on the roof, cleaned and checked the connections at the antenna head same problem. any ideas?

Good morning wjvalentine,

Could you give us a little more information including your zip code and model of antenna?

Thank you.

wjvalentine -

After discussing your situation with a technical service rep we would recommend calling in for service. We have a wide variety of other variables that need to be factored in and that can be addressed much easier by phone.

As always, you can contact Mobile Support at 1-800-788-4417 from 7:30am - 6pm CST, Monday - Friday or on Saturday from 8am - 4pm CST.

Well, I also have bad reception, on my motorhome unit. It's a 'Road Trip' stationary, and I don't understand it. My reception was fine until one of the two black 'antennae' broke. There are two of these, one on each side, on top, in front. I did'nt know they were even part of the winegard system, but must be. Any advice appreciated.

The RoadTrip stationary doesn't use any exterior antennas. I am not sure what is happening but those antenna are not part of the system.

It might be a good idea for you to call our tech support people.
