carryout

Postby roadtravlr » Wed Apr 29, 2009 8:46 pm

Hi,
I saw an online video about the carryout.I'm curious about what all you have to do to set it up for Dish Network. My reciever is a 301,says dish pro on it. Does it require alot of changes?
What kinds of AC inverters do you reccommend? Can you buy something from Radio Shack or Walmart?
My plan is to buy a carryout this week. I know it will be easier than the vuecube.
Thanks for the info.

The Carryout will plug into your vehicle's cigarette lighter or our GM-1200 power supply but anything that meets the specs below is fine.

Typical DC Voltage range 13 -15 VDC
DC Voltage tolerance 2 – 5% over from 0% to 100% of rated load
Typical Min. Current Range 5 -6 amps
Ripple and Noise Max. 100mV p-p
AC Input Voltage Range 100 – 120VAC
Frequency 50-60 Hz
Operating Temp. 0C to 50C
Integrated Cigarette Receptacle

Once you have the Carryout, all you need to do is take the dome off and set the switches for DISH Network and plug the Carryout in.

The system should do the rest.

Hi,
Well I bought my carryout today. I was confused about the Eastern arc thing. I assume I am Eastern arc since I am currently in Chattanooga,Tennessee.
We hooked it up,and it started searching for signal. It never found anything. So I got back online here, and when I saw the VDC voltage range,I had my answer. The folks at Camping world let me buy an Ac adapter that was too low of voltage. So I'm off to find one that will work.
It would be nice in the set up manual if Winegard posted the Dish Network arcs. For us not soooo technical people.
Wish me luck on my next try.
Would it be easier to use if I switched to Direct Tv?

The DISH Network Arcs can be confusing.

Basically, set the unit for just plain DISH Network unless you run into problems. Then, if you are on the east coast (generally the North East) set the unit for the Eastern Arc.

If you are in the North West, is Hybrid Mode.

Hi,
Well,I finally got my Carryout up and going !!!!! Guess what? My satellite reciever somehow had gone bad.
I got my new reciever from Dish Network, followed the instructions in the booklet, and no sooner than I had it
plugged in,,,,,,,,I had a signal. It was really EASY !!!!!
So much better than the VueCube we had before.
So my advice to everyone,go get one !!!!!! Throw that dish away, and watch satellite easily.
Thanks for the help and info.
