Trouble shooting an RV-6004?? Please helpHow do I go about trouble shooting the problem? For the last couple of years I've gotten a few digital channels, but not near as many as the people that I camp with. This time out, I got nothing and knew something was wrong. I use a regular tv and a converter box. I pulled them both out with the wires and took them to my buddy's rv in the same park and got all the channels that he received by plugging my setup into his antenna. So now I know the problem is with my antenna. Where do I start to trouble shoot this? The green booster light is on, I've pulled the connector plate out of the wall and all connections are solid there. I'm not sure what to try next. Any help is much appreciated.
Re: Trouble shooting an RV-6004?? Please helpI would recommend to first check your "booster". It is actually a Power Supply that sends 12vdc power up the coaxial cable and powers the amplifier that is located inside the antenna head. A good way to test is to measure for voltage on the coax at the antenna. If you do not have voltage up there, then there is either an issue with your coaxial cable or your power supply. If you have good voltage up at the antenna, then I would reccommend calling our Technical Service Department (number below) and we can have you check a few other things.
