Re: 3005 LNBandy5010,
You cannot use the SWM LNB with the system, but you can use it as a SWM system with the LNB that comes with the unit. There is information regarding the setup and wiring for that at the following link: http://www.winegard.com/kbase/upload/2452242.pdf
Re: 3005 LNBThanks, as I understand the SWM8 and spitter with the P1-28 or 29 Power supply turns the Sk-3005 into a single cabel for DVR? The Sk-3005 will auto scan for all Sat for High Def? I have a SWM Ground unit also so this will make the transition if i can not get out with the Sk-3005 (trees and etc.).
Re: 3005 LNBAndy,
If you went through it would virtually turn the system into a SWM system using the regular LNB. In terms of using a SWM ground unit if you have line of sight issues, it would be easiest to just use the standard Trav'ler installation and if you need to use the ground unit, just reconfigure the receiver by changing the dish type and the switch type in the receiver menus. It takes minimal time to do so and you can easily switch between the two systems.
