Winegard tech support,
I want to get all the major networks hd off the air, and unsub from the dish local hd station package.
so I bought your ms-2002 omni hdtv antenna with preamp. it was recommended for my location and distances to the HD broadcast towers.
they all come in except one !!!! Could you help getting ABC
my setup: I got the ms-2002 disk antenna on a mast on the roof about 28 feet off the ground. The preamp is verified working.
All other stations come in fine (3/cbs, 18/spanish, 20/cw, 22/nbc, 24/pbs, 30/nbc, and 61/fox) signal strength ranges from 70-100 after rotating the disk until the best position was found for the strongest signal on all stations.
BUT ABC is a MAJOR problem.
* channel 40/abc (broadcast on 40) is 31.7 miles out. with the ms-2002, I get super weak signal strength on ch 40, high 50s to low 60s. pixellated intermittent picture/audio.
* 8/abc, broadcast on 10, is about 27.5 miles out and I get no signal at all with the ms-2002, although I didnt try that hard because it is rated RED channel from here and never saw it rise above zero signal strength.
I thought the ms-2002 was going to work for AT LEAST one of these ABC stations since they're BOTH within the ms2002's spec sheet range of 15-35 miles !!!!
totall frustrated, I decided to do a test. I took my indoor terk hdtva amplified directional antenna, out on the roof, and tried it out on 40/abc only. In the best position I got signal strength in the range of 80-90 with a solid signal !!!!! Thats what Im lookin for. But I cant mount the terk outside it's made for indoor use only and would probably get destroyed during in the first winter ?!?! And it's directional so it wouldnt get stations located to the side or behind it..?!
what do u recommend I do to get this one last network... abc.. either 40 or 8 I dont care.. and still keep all the other stations that Im getting on the ms-2002 ??
