Confusing gain figures

Postby ENGINEER60 » Tue May 04, 2010 10:02 am

I have a HD7082P

I was looking to upgrade to separate antennas but I see that the YA1713 with 10 elements dedicated
to 7-13 has less gain than what I have and the PR-8800 offers virtually no improvement on UHF over what I have.
How is this possible?

The HD7082 is a well designed all channel antenna and fairly large.

It is almost always better to upgrade to a single antenna rather than multiple, more specific antenna's.
